Default patient assistance programs

There are lots of patient assistance programs offered by manufacturers (depending on patient income levels) that will give patients free brand name meds. Perhaps along with the "therapeutic equivalent" option (which I really like) there could be information about available patient assistance programs?

All of them are stored on www.rxassist.org
A major challenge with these is that they are continually updated. Maybe the best way to handle this would be to link to that website and automatically search for the medication if it wasn't found cheap generically...

great site!

Default Prescription Loyalty Cards need database

I find that it is difficult for patients to access Pharmaceutical Loyalty Programs that reduce co-pay expenses. This becomes really important when Pharmacy Benefit Managers place certain branded drugs in a high tier copay due to formulary restrictions.
I've tried to help at www.SCPharmacist.net and am working on this much needed service.

Patient To Becoming A Patient?

Is there a hidden drive in the pharmaceutical companies to turn us all into patients?
According to some recent best-selling , that’s exactly what is occurring We find ourselves surrounded by profit driven friends and neighbors around the clock….some products, ideas and enterprises are being pushed in my direction. Mulit-level marketing campaigns , debt consolidation, children’s toys, books, movies and head-ache medicines.
But those people whose future is most assuredly secured are the visionaries….those who can anticipate the future need or market situation in advance. Anticipate a future necessity, act on it promptly, and your financial future is virtually guaranteed.

Let me get to the meat of this topic….drug companies, their researchers and manufacturers….. People who produce biological pesticides and make the preservatives in our food; these people are profit driven/deal-makers and market creators. Their main concern is money today and money tomorrow. AKA- creative geniuses that will design and fix their market need years in advance; assuring definite, timely and predictable profits.

Let’s say I make Ritalin for your child. I also know people who make potato chips that clog the brain. I also know what organs will be damaged after twenty years of Ritalin use and what new drugs would be needed to treat the side affects debilitated organs and their failure to function. I now pay everyone involved money to keep things the way they are. I then pay individuals ten years in advance to invent drugs that would be solutions for future side affects that are guaranteed to eventually surface among the population at large. After a little time, myself and everyone I am affiliated with are rich and never have to work another day in our life except for our insatiable drive and desire for more money.

You see, if I do not know you personally, I want you to take my drugs so that I can pay my lousy bills. I want your kids to eat poorly to assure they need my ADD drug. I gladly pay news organizations to keep quiet regarding the bovine growth hormone I pharmaceutically supply to fatten up eggs, chickens and cows. I advertise my drugs in health magazines, cancer centers, on television….I even pay doctors to write books and end the last chapter recommending my drug as the best solution for your disease or disorder. I pay everyone, everywhere it suits me. I am a drug maker. I need patients for profits. If I can awash you with enough information long enough, you will always believe me and trust me. I sincerely believe children need Ritalin to make better grades and obey their parents so they will be happy. I am the good guy. And my people go to school eight to ten years to learn how to properly dose you with my drugs. I hope you don’t believe people when they say that an herb can replace chemical drugs. I will make sure Washington helps to keep this evil away from our children. I will make sure marijuana will not destroy families lives. I bet you have a head-ache……here take some Excedrin

There should be a section where we can post our programs and scripts that we have created to help us with everyday problems
