Hi
I have one of those Rite Aide free Rx cards that I use if my co pay with insurance is really high. When I did a drug search on this site, it said that my Rx was 19.99 with the card, the Rite Aide on Richfield & Genesee Road corner wanted to charge me $64.59 as the with the card price. Does med tipster need updating, or do the folks at this Rite Aide just want to charge me too much? |

Thank you, for contacting Medtipster.
The price that Rite Aid was trying to charge you for was for the brand name medication. Please check with the pharmacist to make sure that the doctor did not indicate that a generic equivalent was not allowed. If not, then request that the pharmacy fill the prescription with the generic version that is listed on their discount list. If you need any further assistance, please let us know. |

They claim not to know about the med you told me about, the good news is I can order the generic from my insurance Co now that I know what it is - Thanks!
